Dr. Petrus is proud to call Arkansas home. Born, raised, educated, and professionally established in the state, he has spent decades caring for patients across Central Arkansas and investing in the health of the community.
Dr Petrus was born at St Vincent Infirmary in Little Rock, where he continues to practice medicine today. He grew up on a family farm growing rice and soy beans and graduated Valedictorian of his high school in East Arkansas before embarking on his medical education.
Dr. Petrus’s lifelong dedication to Arkansas ensures that every patient receives expert care rooted in genuine commitment to the people of this region.
He completed his undergraduate degree, medical school, general surgery internship, and residency all at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS).
He has served in numerous clinical positions throughout North Little Rock and Little Rock, including Baptist Health Medical Center and St. Vincent Infirmary.
His community involvement spans decades, including service as a physician volunteer at Baptist Health Free Clinic the Immanuel Baptist Church Clinic, and other Arkansas organizations.
He has contributed to state-level public health efforts through appointments such as the Arkansas Trauma Advisory Council.
